The mission

The committee operates much like an academic institution’s student government. It is the go-to place for our Spartans to suggest ideas about how we can maintain our “Best Place to Work” status and advance our culture to that of being a “Best Place to Work in the World.” The Patch Committee is also a place for Spartans to share concerns about how we are — or are not — living out our values.

Responsibilities Include

  • Review Results of Company Surveys To ensure that Kasasa has solid plans and programs in place to maintain and expand our “Best Place to Work” status
  • Review Company Policies and Procedures To ensure that Kasasa’s practices and materials, such as the employee handbook, live up to the standards of the Patch
  • Ownership in Company Events To help plan, execute, and lead company events, such as War College, S.O.P., holiday party, birthday picnic, etc.
  • Onboard New Spartans To help new employees learn the ways of the Patch
  • Field Inquiries Concerning Culture By meeting monthly to review inquiries sent to the committee
  • Continuously Evaluate Culture To assess how the Patch is being lived out and create ways to continuously evolve and bolster our culture
  • Govern Employee Barcamps To ensure that barcamp charters align with the Patch Values and review annual funding requests

One Freshman Representative

for new Spartans, 18-month term

To ensure there is diverse representation on the committee, this rotating seat must be held by Spartans with less than one year of employment at Kasasa. The Freshman Representative serves for an 18-month term to allow the committee to hear multiple new perspectives.
